Wales manager John Toshack is relishing the chance to renew the old rivalry with England in Euro 2012 qualifying.
The two teams were drawn together in the five-nation Group G, along with Switzerland, Bulgaria and Montenegro.
Toshack said: "Without doubt, drawing England will please all the Welsh fans - plenty of history there and we like nothing better than another chance against the old enemy.
"I know Fabio Capello quite well, so will look forward to being able to pit our talents against a powerful England team later in the year."
and Wales last played each other in qualifying for the 2006 World Cup, with England winning both games.
Doncaster Rovers captain Brian Stock is hoping he can play his way into contention for Wales's Nationwide International with Sweden next month.
The 28-year-old won his first cap in the 3-1 defeat to Russia last September, but his progress has been hampered by an ankle injury that he has only just recovered from.
"It couldn't have come at a worse time for my international prospects," Stock said.
"John Toshack took the trouble to ring me on two or three occasions during my rehab to see how I was doing, which was good of him, but I've not spoken to him since I've been back playing.
"I've been happy with the three games I've played since I've been back and I know Wales have got a friendly in March and obviously I'd like to be in contention.
"But first and foremost I want to play well for Doncaster."
Wales midfielder Joe Ledley is hoping he will return to action before the end of the season.
The Cardiff City star will be out for 10 weeks after undergoing surgery on his hip this Friday, but believes he will be available for the last few games of 2009/10.
Ledley said: "Hopefully, the aim is to get back [before] the end of the season.
"It [the operation] is frustrating, but it's got to be done and hopefully I can come back better and stronger, and hopefully I'll be pain free as well."
Brian Flynn remained upbeat after his Wales Under-21 side fell to a 2-1 defeat in Bosnia.
It was Flynn's side's first defeat in qualifying and they still sit top of the group with two games left to play.
Flynn said: "We had an off night - that can happen in football, but I know that on our day we can beat anyone in Europe."
"We weren't at our best. We had chances to recover but it wasn't to be."
